Process
Initial evaluation
Original MVP’s onboarding flow was initially developed by the development team without design input lacked areas for in user experience.
For example, process of adding interests required users to type in interests without suggestions or example tags, which I identified to burden users and cause to quit the sign up process midway.
User flow development
I developed a new user flow for the sign-up process by identifying necessary screens and content requirements.
This allowed me to identify points of interactions that could be enhanced interaction and streamline the user journey.
Visual system and branding
I used a glass morphism style to mirror the app’s forward-thinking approach to media.
Special attention was given to color contrasts and typography to enhance readability and user engagement across various device platforms so that accessibility standards were not compromised on style.
The new visual identity was strategically developed to resonate with the brand’s mission of delivering personalized and insightful content in a sleek, user-friendly format.

Outcome
Due to my contract ending after the completion of the design, I handed over the project to the engineering team. Had my involvement continued, I would have tested the effectiveness of my design through user testing, measuring success primarily by monitoring the completion and sign-up rates to ensure that the new design truly meets user needs and enhances their experience.
